Neverending Twitgeist: Make Twitter Worth Your Twime

I just went so overboard suggesting tweeps for a friend to follow (Twitter speak for people), that I thought I'd go ahead and blog the list. Twitter is really only as good as the people you follow; having more witty/insightful/useful people is better than having mundane/negative/downers filling your feed. As you dive deeper into the Twitterverse you'll find the door opened to thousands of dedicated 'microbloggers,' as well as third party services and software that enrich and expand Twitter's usefullness.

Over the past few months of using Twitter, I have found it to be a powerful tool as well:

• Catch up on interesting blogs on the go (thank you iPhone & Tweetie)
• Follow local DJs and discover new music
• Discover and converse with tweeps with similar interests
• Get a daily dose of inspiration and tips from entrepreneurs all over the world
  
• Keep tabs on causes and political movements
  
• Watch the conversation surrounding radio and TV shows in real time
  
• And News News News, as it happens
